After a busy week in Hard, Mads Ebler and Eric Monnin faced each other in the finals for the european title in Match Racing. After five thrilling races, Mads Ebler from Denmark defeated Monnin with 3 wins. The feedback from the competitors on the blu26 boats was very positive, even in the sometimes light air conditions.
blu26 – Match Race European Championship, Hard, AUT
The Match Race European Championship is currently taking place in Hard, Austria. Twelve teams are fighting for the title in mostly light and shifty winds. The races are sailed onblu26 and will continue until Saturday. Daily news updates regarding the racing and photos can be found on the website of the organising club.

For the season of 2010 the blu26 Class Association has planed the following races:
May 22nd / 23rd: blu26 Zugersee Cup, Zug
June 3rd / 4th: Uristier Cup, Flüelen
June 19th / 20th: Tag & Nachtregatta, Zurich
October 9th / 10th: Herbstpreis, Zurich
November 6th / 7th: Bluboats Cup, Hilterfingen
Besides these fleet racing activities, part of the blu26 fleet will be participating in various Match Races throughout the year. The following events promise excitement for sailors and visitor/viewers:
May 12th – 15th: Match Race European Championship, Hard, Austria
May 27th – 30th: VOLVO Match Race Zug (qualification event for St. Moritz Match Race) September 1st – 5th: St. Moritz Match Race, Lake St. Moritz
October 1st – 3rd: German Match Race Championship, Tegernsee, Germany
blu26 – Wintertraining Lake Garda
The blu26 Wintertraining took place at lake garda during four days. Intensive training sessions were held by professionals Christian Scherrer, Eric Monnin and Stephan Eder in perfect conditions with a lot of sunshine and great winds. The positive Feedback and the good atmosphere among the five teams present will lead to a continuance in 2011.

blu26 – Foundation of the blu26 International Class Association
On Tuesday the 19th of January 2010 at the Yacht Club Zug a group of enthusiastic blu26 sailors have founded the blu26 International Class Association.
The association has the goal to promote the blu26 class, to organise regattas and to unite owners and crews. Daniel Lucchini has been elected as the president of the class, Joëlle Müller as the treasurer and Mark Griesmaier as the secretary. Christian Bolinger and Christian Scherrer will lead the technical commission.

blu26 – Wintertraining at lake Garda February 24. to 28.
Bluboats organizes a winter-regattatraining at lake garda in collaboration with sailingcenter Tegernsee. During four days there will be a coaching by professional sailor Christian Scherrer, Stephan Eder and Eric Monnin. The course will be held in german.

blu26 – Bluboats Cup 2009
After a great weekend of sailing at the automn regatta in Zurich, the Bluboats Cup in Hilterfingen on lake thun is coming up. The weekend of 7th/8th November, between ten and twelve blu26will take place in this season end regatta.
The team of bluboats and Archimedes Bootbau is looking forward to a great event and competitive racing.

blu26 – Automn Regatta in Zurich
Eight blu26 raced in the Automn Regatta at the Yacht Club Zurich the last weekend. Franz Buhmann and his team even took the journey from Germany to race in Zuerich.
Two races in shifty and difficult conditions could be sailed with a lot of sunshine on Saturday. Stronger winds from the north-west on Sunday enabled the fleet of eight blu26 to sail another 3 races.
The blu26 fleet proofed to be very competitive and only the last race on Sunday decided the winner. With a win in the last race, the team of Christian Scherrer with Aaron Teuscher, Rico Hasler and Martin Rosenberger took victory in the series with their SUI 05 ‘cinque blu’. The team of Markus Bohren finished second in front of Thomas Grob.
