Third place at the last regatta on this year’s blu26 regatta calendar, at the autumn regatta (Herbstpreis) of the Zurich Yacht Club, was good enough for the Voodoo Child Team with Skipper Dani Lucchini and David Menti to bring home the victory in this year’s overall ranking of theblu26 Class.
For the overall ranking the best four results out of the five regattas are counted. The five regattas were held on Lake Constance, Lake Zug, Lake Lucerne, Lake Tegern, and Lake Zurich.
The Voodoo Child Team was the clear winner of this year’s overall ranking and received the Bluboats Cup Trophy on Sunday. On 2nd place was the Giachen Racing Team from the Engadin with skipper Stephan Hawranke, and on 3rd place was the women’s team Romano & Christen with skipper Christa Kuster.
In total there were 23 blu26s competing for the Blueboats Cup 2012.
